Today:

So, it is a very important day.

I wanted to expand on the great form of Mahadeva – “Bhikshadana”.  You can see him here gracing the stage with his “chathur bhuja”, with his four hands, carrying Damaru, Trishula, and the Brahma Kapala in one hand, and feeding all the “pashu-pakshis”, the animals, with the other hand – receiving with this hand, and feeding with the other hand, sharing with the world with the other hand.  His bhootha gana is carrying the Brahma Kapala, accompanying him.  With the wooden sandal he is walking.  And this form of Mahadeva is more powerful than Kaalabhairava and Veerabhadra, understand?  As Kaalabhairava and Veerabhadra, he destroys the enemies’ karmas, but by torturing them.  He destroys everyone’s Karmas, but by torturing them and punishing them left and right.  As Bhikshadana, just by taking, he destroys their Karmas!  Just by receiving he destroys their Karmas!  He comes down as Bhikshadana first, and then sits down as Dakshinamurthy.  He comes down as Bhikshadana for the Taraka Vana rishis, because they have become so egoistic and incomplete, they have started building incompletions due to their powers and knowledge.  To teach them the Science of Advaitha and the Science of Completion, relieving them from ordinary Karmas, incompletions, and leading to enlightenment, Mahadeva comes down as Bhikshadana, and Vishnu comes down as Mohini.  And, when they were trying to....when the rishis were trying to fight, harass Mahadeva, then he conquers them, but does not kill them, gives them the knowledge and enlightenment, sits as Dakshinamurthy and gives them knowledge and enlightenment.  This is one of the greatest ways, methodologies, Mahadeva himself used for enriching, for enriching the world. 

People who think their Karma, their lifestyle is the best, and people who think their lifestyle is the greatest and developed so many incompletions and power....  Actually, the whole world is Taraka Vana rishis only.  So, now Mahadeva decided to come down and go for bhiksha, relieving them of all their Karmas and giving them the Advaitha Jnana, the knowledge of Advaitha and enlightenment, liberation. 

Going for bhiksha is not an ordinary thing.  It does so much in you!  First, you will understand the love of the people.  And when people refuse, your ego will be drastically reduced.  Not only that, when you are going for bhiksha, naturally you carry a certain ideology, certain understanding, you represent a certain truth.  People will ask you who you are, what you are, and you are going naturally to answer what for you have come.  And that is the beautiful opportunity to enrich them with the Science of Completion and Science of Advaitha, Science of Enlightenment.

I wanted our whole Sangha to be Shiva Bhoothas who are standing next to Mahadeva and carrying his Brahma Kapala.  So, from today, all of you will take up the responsibility of Shiva Bhootha.  When Mahadeva walks, he has some two-hundred, three-hundred bhoothas going here and there, to next street, across the street, and collecting everyone’s Karma.

So, from today, I wanted..... (buffering at this point)............the rejuvenation, creation happened, understand?

The honey bee doesn’t just suck the honey and go away; it adds life to the flower!  It takes honey, but adds life to the flower!  You may receive a little bit of rice and money and whatever they may offer, but you will add Advaithic knowledge to them, you will add Advaitha experience to them, you will add blessings to their life by taking away their Karma, please understand. 

Today, formally I initiate all the Thanedars, Kotharis, Mahants, Shrimahants.  You are all Brahmanas, and you are all Shiva Ganas, and you can go for Madhukari Bhiksha.  Whatever you get, offer it to Mahadeva.  And whoever offers whatever to you is accepted by Mahadeva; their Karmas are burnt away.  Whoever offers, all their Karmas are burnt away.  Through this, formally, officially, I initiate all the Thanedars, Mahants, Kotharis, Shrimahants.  You are all Brahmanas, Shiva Ganas, and you have a right to go for bhikshavandana, Madhukari Bhikshavandana.  Everywhere, chant this one Maha Vaakya – “Shivoham” – and ask for bhiksha; “Shivoham” – and ask for bhiksha.  Whoever offers, whatever they offer, their Karmas will be taken away, their Karmas will be destroyed. 

So, understand, Bhikshadana is here.  Mahadeva is walking the earth to remove everyone’s Karmas, burn everyone’s Karmas, through simple bhiksha.  As I said, the honey bee not only takes the honey, it gives life to the flower.  Do Madhukari Bhiksha, enriching.  Go house to house, door to door.  At least from twenty-one places you have to have bhiksha.  When you go for bhiksha, you should receive only in the kaavi cloth, this colour cloth (pointing to the saffron-coloured cloth), this colour cloth, or in the Brahma Kapala; only in this you can receive.  All the Thanedars, Kotharis, Mahants, you must have received the Poornathwa Vastra, the Completion Vastra, the Poornathwa Vastra.  You should receive bhiksha only in that cloth.  You cannot receive in anything else.  Please understand, you are not going for begging, you are going for bhiksha.  So, naturally, you will have to follow all the traditions.  It is a spiritual ritual; so you will have to follow all the spiritual traditions.  Even the Inner Awakening batch, you can receive (bhiksha). 

So, first thing, you will have to chant “Shivoham” at least three times.  Second, only if they are interested and start talking to you, you can continue to talk to them and explain to them that you are teaching meditation, you are teaching Yoga, you are offering spiritual healing service, and you have come to offer that and receive whatever they want to give.  Explain to them.  If they are not interested in talking, you should just move to the next house.  You cannot stand, intimidate, force anybody, understand?  You need to know the whole science, the rules and regulations, and carry the flyers, introduction materials about our spiritual activities and Sangha in your local centres and ashrams and temples.  Give them flyers, give them the introductory material, and then enrich them.  Receive whatever they give.  Be in the space of Completion whatever they give.  Don’t expect, don’t put pressure on them about your expectation.  Whatever they give, be in the space of Completion and bless them – “Loka Samastha Sukhino Bhavanthu”!  Bless them. 

You have to receive bhiksha from at least twenty-one houses.  Don’t count the houses where you have not received.  Don’t count the places where you have not received.  You should receive from twenty-one places, or twenty-one persons, or twenty-one houses.  Receive the bhiksha, bring it to the local centre.  Whatever edible items you receive, use it for Anna Dhaan.

So, Mahadeva, with the left hand receives, and with the right hand he is giving to the pashu-pakshi, everything.  And that is the beauty, please understand!  There is no discrimination!  He is giving for everyone.  And give for everyone.  Decide to give for everyone.  Share with the whole world. 

Muktha (Sri Nithya Mukthananda, Seattle), don’t be depressed about the programme!  Take up this Madhukari Bhiksha.  We will be successful!  There is nothing called “failure” in our life.  We will win the game! 

Listen!  Listen!  Go around!  Go around!  Go around!  You will see the power of bhikshadana!  Remember when you go for bhiksha: ‘Shivoham!  I am Shiva! I am Mahadeva’s Shiva Gana!  I am Shiva, and I am Mahadeva’s Shiva Gana!  And I am doing this for Mahadeva, to experience Mahadeva in me!’ 

So, whatever comes, all the edibles, food items, use it for Anna Dhaana, share it with whoever comes to the temple, ashram, Centre.  Whatever other things you receive like money, use them for the local temple to enrich people, use them for the ashrams, temples, Centres, and in whatever way you want, and you can, to the world.  So, don’t even bother who gives, who don’t give.  Don’t have any incompletion about the people who don’t give, understand?  Don’t have incompletion about the people who don’t give.  Have the space of Completion of Mahadeva, Bhikshadana, and go around.

I tell you guys, this will be one of the greatest enriching processes we have started towards the world, and we will enrich the world through this!  And shaastra allows all the Brahmanas and Sannyasis to go for Bhikshavandhana and enrich the world through that.  You have the shaastric right, the right as per the spiritual scriptures.  Go around.  Don’t worry, don’t bother about who gives, who doesn’t give.  Go around and do this as a spiritual practice.  You will see Mahadeva shower blessings, understand!  When Mahadeva comes for Bhiksha, Vishnu who is carrying Lakshmi, runs behind Mahadeva as a servant, as Mohini!  So, understand, all auspicious things will be showered.  And, same way, whoever gives, like the old lady who gave one small amalaki (gooseberry) to Shankara, and the old fruit-seller who gave one fruit to Krishna, how they were showered, same way, whoever offers to you guys, they will all be showered!  I am praying to Kanaka Lakshmi (Goddess of Wealth) to do Kanakadhaara (shower of gold) on the people who offer something to all you guys when you go for bhiksha.  Whoever offers, first thing their Karma will be burnt.  Next, they will be showered by Kanaka Lakshmi the Kanakadhaara, all the auspicious things.  And it is going to be one of the powerful, most powerful spiritual processes, enriching processes. 

Already many people in our Sangha have started bhikshavandhana, but I wanted this to be more systematically done as per the scriptures.  And enriching, not just begging!  You will enrich them to come to healing, Homa, or Completion class, or NDY (Nithya Dhyan Yoga), whatever.  You should be having regular Completion classes freely, teaching them the Completion science, and invite, enrich people to come and attend the classes.  So, understand, no one, no one should be stuck in the space of impossibility.  Go around with the courage of Mahadeva, with the courage of Bhikshadana. 

The Science of Bhiksha – please understand, it is a science – this was used very systematically to enrich the world by Buddha.  Buddha used it very powerfully to enrich the world, to reach out to people.  And, Nagas, Naga sannyasis, Aghoris, Shaiva Siddhantis, almost in all spiritual sampradayas, Bauls, everyone used this method of Madhukari Bhiksha as a very powerful system to reach out to people.  All the great spiritual tradition of Hinduism used it.  Let us now start enriching the world through this system, enriching through Madhukari Bhiksha.  Even in my village, in the young age, we used to do, we used to go around and chant the name of Venkateshwara and collect.  Whatever we collected, we used to go to Venkateshwara temple, or we used to give it to people who are going to Venkateshwara temple, and offer it to Venkateshwara.  In this way, the bhakthi towards Venkateshwara is spread.  We enriched people with the bhakthi of Venkateshwara, and the Madhukari Bhiksha was used as one of the powerful, most powerful methods for reaching out to people, enrich the world.

Brahmana and Sannyasi, both are....both have the responsibility to do Madhukari Bhiksha and enrich the world.  Use that to enrich the world in some form.  So, every day, you have to receive bhiksha at least from twenty-one people. 

And, I am so happy, I am just overwhelmed when I see the Swamis, ashramites, devotees of ISKCON going for Madhukari Bhiksha and enriching the world, keeping the tradition alive.  It is not that they don’t have money; but, this is the way they reach out to people and make more and more and more spiritual activities.  I am so happy that some of our very rich devotees in Mumbai and other places are going out and spending time on Madhukari Bhiksha and collecting whatever people can give to build a temple and for Annadhaana.  I am so happy, understand!  This is one of the best ways to enrich people.  Don’t bother about effects and side-effects.  Do it!  You will see all the auspicious things happening.

And, today, I am inaugurating this Science of Madhukari Biksha enriching, the methodology through which we will enrich the whole world, all over the world, reach out to the world.

And, Mahadeva, in the form of Bhikshadana, I will be doing prana prathishta (energizing process) to this deity.

Mahadeva is all....Bhikshadana is all ready, set, and he has started his journey of Madhukari Bhiksha enriching.  He already received the first bhiksha.  I already gave the first bhiksha, the mala (necklace) as the first bhiksha.  

So, understand, if you think you are too big a guy to go for bhiksha, remember, Mahadeva himself goes!  You are not bigger than Mahadeva.  You are not bigger than Mahadeva. He himself goes!  So, radiate the grace of Mahadeva.  So, even if you go for begging, it will be royal!  You will be living like a king!  I have seen many people who think themselves as a king, but live like a beggar.  I have seen many people who show themselves as king, but inside they are beggars.  Here I am telling you, show like beggars, but inside be like a king!  Radiate the grace and joy of Mahadeva, and radiate the Completion of Mahadeva.  Don’t bother who gives what.  If they give, they are going to drop their Karma.  By giving, they are going to do good to themselves.  By receiving, you are going to do good to them.  So, go around with that Completion and grace and space.

So, with this, I bless you all!  Let you all radiate with Integrity, Authenticity, Responsibility, Enriching and Causing eternal bliss, Nithyananda!  Thank you!
