SWAMIJI TALKED ABOUT THE PERSECUTION AND CRITICISM OF OUR GURUKUL BY A LOCAL TV CHANNEL, NEWS 9:

They don’t understand anything about Hinduism, and they don’t understand anything about our culture. Even the American officials, including the CIA agents, always I saw in the flight American officials sitting and reading Urdu books.  I could not understand.  Finally, I spoke to one of them and asked, ‘May I know why you are reading Urdu books?’  He replied, ‘No...we have to study the other culture because we have to interact with them, understand them.’  At least, News 9 (TV channel) people also should have that much of courtesy to learn the culture of this country, heritage of this country.  They go on lying, saying, ‘Whether their parents are aware of what is being done to their kids?’  Arrey, come on!  On the day of initiation, the parents and the kids were sitting together.  When we show this on Nithyananda TV international channel, which is watched in more number of countries than your News 9 Chanel, how do you think the parents don’t know?  Don’t you see the simple logic?  The kids are with the parents.  Why you guys will not give us our religious freedom to live our lives?  Why do you guys keep on constantly persecuting me for our religious beliefs? 

Come to Haridwar and see!  I am inviting the News 9 people to come to Haridwar and see.  Every ashram here has twenty-five kids who are already initiated as Sannyasis.  It is our tradition.  All the great Mahamandaleshwars, when I talk to them, they say, ‘I took sannyas at the age of ten, I took sannyas at the age of six, I took sannyas at the age of eight.’  With what a joy they are sharing!  I have not seen a single guy who is repenting because he was given sannyas when he was a minor. 

I tell you, I have seen the whole of India, the length and breadth, by walk.  I have seen enough of people who are repenting that they were brought up in the western materialistic way.  I have seen tons and tons of people who are depressed, because they are brought up with your materialistic ideas, YOUR ideas, the ideas and culture News 9 is promoting.  I am yet to come across, I have not come across a single sannyasi or sadhu who says, ‘I was given sannyas when I was a child; now I am repenting for it.’  No! 

Constantly abusing us and making people believe that our Gurukul is something like backward!

Please understand, the right strategies for life, the right thinking pattern, when it is given to a kid, when he or she is a child, the amount of life, energy, love, laughter, joy, intelligence, wisdom they radiate....unimaginable!  Tons and tons of people are depressed, commiting suicide, don’t know what to do in life, identity crisis, confusion, because of this materialistic life.  These guys (News 9) have the audacity to tell that my gurukul kids are being deprived, forced!  They are abusing my statement that all our disciples should have five kids and one kid should be brought up as a sannyasi. 

Again, I want to insist....come on!  I want to tell our disciples, please understand, we are a minority.  I differ, with all my respects, from Ashok Singhalji’s words.  Ashok Singhalji said that we MAY become a minority.  With all my respects to Ashok Singhalji, I differ from you.  We are ALREADY a minority!  Why don’t we wake up to the stark reality!  Just see the practicing Hindus; we are already a minority!  Forget about this legal Hindus, born Hindus.  Look into the practicing Hindus! 

Please understand, it is not even a question of Hindu, Christian, Muslim, Sikh, Jain, or Buddhist; it is a question of keeping one of the greatest spiritual traditions alive and supplying, sharing it with the universe.  This great spiritual tradition has some of the best things for humanity.  Understand, the future of humanity is dependent on what kind of religious beliefs we are going to hold, what kind of spiritual beliefs we are going to hold. 

Please listen....please understand....humanity, if it has to survive the hatred, abusal of religious terrorism, it needs a religion which accepts many gods or all gods.  The Hindu tradition, the Advaithic tradition is the only tradition which accepts many gods or all gods.  So, I tell you, this spiritual tradition needs to be kept alive for the sake of peace and survival of humanity. 

I wanted to tell all our disciples, when I am asking you to bring up one child for sannyas, I am begging you, let’s create people who will spread peace, joy to humanity and keep humanity alive!  It is the survival need of the Planet Earth!  Don’t go on being in the fantasy.  It is like how you need to wake up for the problem of global warming, same way, we need to wake up to the stark reality of ideological heat – terrorism and conversion.  Please understand, both are terrorism, terrorism and conversion.  The amount of suffering these two actions are causing in the world, don’t you see it is completely because of intolerance?  The one and only tradition which accepts many gods or all gods, respects many gods and all gods, can be the religious faith of the future, can be the faith of future humanity. 

So, please understand, I request the News 9 people to look into this truth.  I am asking the parents to give kids not to do any terrorist attack, not to go around and convert people, but to give the intelligence of life to humanity, to give the great message of not just tolerance or acceptance, but happily surviving together, happily co-existing. 

I wanted all our devotees to realize, disciples to realize, don’t be brainwashed by the false ideas you are getting that you are a majority.  No!  Look at the stark reality.  Even though it is a little frightening, it needs to be looked at.  We are a minority, because counting has to be done based on practicing people, based on practicing, understand.

Why this News 9 is not talking about the thousands and thousands of kids being converted, abused, brainwashed for terrorist activities, used in the armies for fighting wars in the name of religion, in the name of ideology?  Why are they not talking about all that?  Why are they not looking at the hundreds and hundreds of kids standing at every signal and begging all over this country?  Why are they not making news about that?  Why are we, who are practicing our tradition with all sincerity, with all respect to the human rights, no kid in our Sangha has been given sannyas before they have completed the age of eighteen, no kid has been given sannyas before they are legally major, even though in Hinduism, if you come to Haridwar, even if you see the sadhus gathered, there are many who took sannyas when they were children, when they were minor.  Even the other day, I met so many sadhus, Bala Sannyasis, Bala Sants, who took sannyas from the age of three, four, five, six.  Even though it is a tradition in Hinduism, in our organization I have not given sannyas to anybody who is below eighteen completed.  Even after eighteen, I don’t give sannyas immediately. 
They are made to think, contemplate, intranalyze for years to find out whether they want to live this life or not.  Why are we not given the freedom for survival?  Why are we not given the peace to live our life and our ideology, our religion, which is in no way interfering with the law of the land?  It is neither anti-social nor anti-national or illegal.  Then why are we constantly being harassed about our Gurukul?  You guys are making titles like “Nithyananda to open controversial gurukuls all over the world”.  What do you mean by using the title “controversial”?  Just because you can speak about anything, you can make anything controversial?  This is the age-old system, the oldest educational system of the Planet Earth.

Understand, the best understanding about life, strategy for life, wisdom of life is awakened in you with the space of Advaitha.  I really wanted every one of you to develop the strategy of your life based on the right input and knowledge, right input and knowledge.  Please understand, Inner Awakening program is all about giving you the right input and knowledge to strategize about your life.  Even for a small office meeting, you plan so many strategies.  Even for cooking, you do so many strategies.  For a team meeting, you do so many strategies.  For a family gathering, you do so many strategies.  But you forget to do strategy for your life.  Giving you the right intelligence, knowledge, wisdom to do the right strategy for your life is Inner Awakening. 

Many of you don’t do strategy at all for life; life happens as accident.  Some of you do strategy, do failure strategy, because of wrong and half information about life.  Inner Awakening is all about giving you the complete right wisdom and knowledge about life to make the right strategy for your life, a non-failing strategy for your life, non-failing way of existing in your life.  Understand, getting the right strategy, right knowledge, right information for success of your life is all I am doing in the Inner Awakening.  Advaithic principles, the principles of Advaitha, give you the best way to exist.

I will give the essence in Hindi.

Understand, bring in the space of Advaitha to your life, to your living, to your knowledge, to your strength.  Again and again and again, I remind, the space of Advaitha brings best success in everything you approach in your life, whether health, wealth, success in life, to achieve what you want, complete relationships, anything, the space of Advaitha brings success to you.

With this, I will move to the Kalpataru process. 

All the devotees who have gathered in Haridwar and Hong Kong for the Kalpataru process, please pick up your paper and pen.  Pen down one thought you want to cause as reality, and all the impossibilities, doubts, incompletions you have around that thought.  Pen down both.

Now, please sit straight.  Create the space for what you want to cause as reality.  Complete with all the incompletions and drop it.  And create the space for what you want to cause as reality.
